My name is Lucy Metcalfe, I’m 23 and I’ve grown up on my family farm in Deniliquin, NSW.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for all things creative and all things nature. Since I was 15, I’ve been combining my love for the two and decorating animal skulls.

This first began when I was crafting a Christmas present for my mum, using an old cow’s skull I’d collected from the paddock. Soon her friends were wanting one of their own and I then took my new hobby to Instagram in 2019.

Following the Buy From the Bush movement of 2020, I was fortunate to receive significant exposure for my work. A feature in an RM William’s magazine that year further accelerated the interest in my skulls and soon my hobby was transformed into a small business.

Since then, I’ve sold over 100 of my skulls to homes across the country and it is one of my proudest accomplishments to date. It’s an absolute privilege to share my creations with an audience who loves them as much as I do.
